Polymer Processing

esearch activities are directed at developing advanced polymer processing technology and understanding of structure and property relationships in polymer processing. Research program focuses on the optical polymer film processing for the flexible substrate. PC, COC, PEN and PES optical films are currently developed to apply the display and solar cell. In the biomedical applications, the processing technology is under investigating for the scaffold in tissue engineering and the stent coating in the vascular. In addition to fundamental polymer processing work, several projects are aims at understanding interfacial phenomena of polymer/polymer and polymer/metal system.

ome of the current research areas of interest include
1. High Performance Polymeric Film Processing

2. Biomedical and Biodegradable Polymer Processing
3. Polymeric Materials for Data Storage
4. High Performance Polymer Composite and Blend Processing

e are always on the lookout for motivated undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing graduate research. Further, we are also looking for exceptional graduate students interested in postdoctoral research opportunities. If you are interested, please contact me by email ( hjkang @dankook.ac.kr ) with the information on your background and records.
